To answer what Love truly is, you have to dig deeper into your individual being. In a world populated with billions of people, each person has their own perception of emotions and understanding of words. It may be that to you Love means a simple glance across the room that tingles your soul or perhaps a longing to be grounded in life by meeting a twin soul. Whatever it is, Mystic Sisters agrees the love should consist of a few basic elements regardless of the relationship type, here are some pointers to take note of:

Respect
When we love someone or something we should treat them/it with respect. Most couples find themselves in abusive relationships but somehow tell themselves that this is love… when actually both entities should strive to respect each other.

Un – Conditional Terms
While it is great to have mutual agreements in a relationship such as factors to determine growth, borders of personal space etc… it is important that we do not make this the be all and end all of a relationship. Often we find ourselves saying we cannot love a person if this happens of if he/she does an act to disappointment. True love continues even when someone may unexpectedly fail our standards. It is important to note the difference between loving the person and being capable to continue a relationship with the person. Sometimes we may still love someone but the situation is not ideal for us to continue the bond with them. Whatever the case may be, remember not to build conditions of steel around your love.

Honesty & Transparency
This goes hand in hand with respect, for if your respect someone, then they are entitled to honesty from your side. Petty little lies like who ate the last piece of cake from the fridge is something we can laugh over, but playing mind games and being dishonest or disloyal to a loved one hurts them more than knowing the truth. If you find yourself in a situation where you are hiding things from a loved one, perhaps its time to introspect and think about your own actions and reactions. One lie leads to another, and most people are afraid to speak the truth or be transparent due to their own fears. Work through your fears and your own personality so that you can honor your loved ones.

Personal Space & Growth
When we love someone or something we tend to forget about the future. We pour our hearts into loving the present version without giving our love the opportunity to grow into something. People change, times change and life changes – we must be able to love ourselves, other people and/or objects through the growth process of life. If you find that a loved one has changed (in your opinion for worse) then its imperative have open lines of communication to understand what the other person may be going through, similarly we must respect the personal space of others and ourselves – for if someone grows into a personality that may be affecting your well being, then you should consider what would work best to set your own life on the correct path rather than burning yourself in the pursuit of someone else’s happiness.
